About the Role:
At AdmiHub Business Support Services Ltd, we help organisations improve how they operate, make decisions and deliver services. From process improvement and digital transformation to operational planning, we work with clients to turn complex business challenges into practical and measurable solutions.
We are looking for a Principal Business Analyst who can lead complex analysis programmes and provide strategic guidance across major business initiatives. You will work closely with clients, operational teams, technology specialists and senior stakeholders to identify problems, define requirements and shape solutions that support long term business goals.
This is not simply a documentation role. You will influence decisions, challenge assumptions and ensure that projects deliver genuine operational value.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment:
Our Alloa office provides a professional and collaborative working environment with convenient access to Stirling, Falkirk and the wider Central Scotland region. We support focused work, open communication and practical problem solving.
Meaningful Projects:
You will work on business transformation, service improvement and operational change projects where your recommendations directly influence performance, efficiency and customer experience.
Strategic Influence:
You will have the opportunity to work with senior decision makers from the early discovery stage through to implementation and benefits evaluation.
Professional Development:
We support continued professional development through relevant training, industry qualifications, professional memberships and selected business analysis conferences.
Collaborative Culture:
You will work alongside programme managers, consultants, operations specialists and technology teams who value clear analysis and evidence based recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis Leadership:
Lead the analysis of complex business challenges across operational, commercial and technology focused projects. Establish appropriate analysis approaches, standards and governance for each engagement.
Requirements Management:
Gather, assess and document business, functional and non functional requirements. Ensure requirements are clear, prioritised, traceable and aligned with agreed business outcomes.
Process Improvement:
Map existing business processes, identify inefficiencies and design improved operating models. Develop practical recommendations that balance customer needs, operational requirements and organisational constraints.
Stakeholder Management:
Facilitate workshops, interviews and decision making sessions with clients and internal stakeholders. Communicate complex information clearly and build agreement across groups with different priorities.
Solution Evaluation:
Work with project, technology and operational teams to assess proposed solutions. Confirm that planned changes meet business requirements and provide measurable value.
Mentoring and Quality Assurance:
Support the development of Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts. Review analysis outputs, provide constructive feedback and promote consistent professional standards.
Benefits and Performance Analysis:
Define success measures, key performance indicators and benefit tracking approaches. Support post implementation reviews and identify opportunities for further improvement.
Risk and Dependency Management:
Identify business risks, operational dependencies and implementation challenges. Escalate significant concerns and support the development of practical mitigation plans.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 7 years of professional business analysis experience, including substantial involvement in complex transformation, operational improvement or technology enabled change programmes.
Leadership:
Demonstrated experience leading analysis workstreams, mentoring other analysts and influencing senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
Business Analysis Skills:
Strong capability in requirements elicitation, process mapping, operating model design, gap analysis, business case development and benefits management.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Confidence working with senior leaders, operational teams, technical specialists and external clients. You can challenge assumptions professionally and guide groups toward clear decisions.
Commercial Awareness:
A strong understanding of how operational decisions affect cost, service quality, customer experience, risk and organisational performance.
Tools and Methods:
Experience using recognised business analysis techniques and collaboration tools. Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments is expected.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can produce clear business documentation and present complex findings in a practical and understandable way.
Qualifications:
A relevant degree or recognised professional qualification such as BCS Business Analysis, IIBA CBAP or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
Mindset:
You are analytical, commercially aware and comfortable working with ambiguity. You focus on measurable outcomes and understand when additional analysis is required and when a decision needs to be made.
