North Lincolnshire Council are seeking to recruit a community spirited individual to provide a school crossing service to children and their parents/guardians.
The presence of a School Crossing Patrol encourages parents and children to walk to school, giving environmental and health benefits, in addition to improving safety on the site.
Applicants should have a good understanding of road use and traffic awareness.
You will need to use your judgement of speed and distance to know when it is safe to stop traffic and allow pedestrians to cross the road.
Good verbal communication skills are essential.
Duty times cover the period before school opens in the morning and the period after the school closes in the afternoon.
The times on patrol are 08.15 - 08.55 and 15.00 - 15.40
This post is term-time only covering for absence till September 2027.
