Picking Operative

About the Role
We are looking for reliable and hardworking Picking Operatives to join our Warehouse team. This is a key role within our operation, helping to ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and prepared accurately and efficiently. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided, although warehouse experience would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using warehouse systems and processes
- Ensure orders are completed on time and within productivity targets
- Carry out quality checks to confirm correct products and quantities are selected
- Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to supervisors
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks when required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Follow all company procedures, policies, and health & safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse, picking, or packing experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication, numeracy, and literacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems is advantageous
Working Hours
Day Shift
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00am – 16:30pm
Night Shift
- Wednesday to Sunday
- 13:30pm – 22:00pm
- Overtime opportunities may be available during busy periods.
Salary
£14.20 p/h
£31,012.60 per annum
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving stock
- Able to work within a warehouse environment, which may include varying temperatures
