Internship
Aimee Joyce London is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Boutique & Studio Intern to join our small team in Notting Hill for two days per week.
This is a hands-on, practical role offering experience in the day-to-day running of an independent British fashion brand and boutique. You'll work closely with our small team and gain an understanding of everything that happens behind the scenes, from stock and customer orders to boutique presentation and general organisation.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in the details and is happy to get stuck into whatever needs doing.
The Role
Your responsibilities may include:
* Supporting the day-to-day running of the boutique
* Keeping the shop floor, stockroom and working areas organised and beautifully presented
* Receiving, checking, organising and replenishing stock
* Preparing and packing online and customer orders
* Preparing parcels for collection and dispatch
* Maintaining packaging and boutique supplies
* Preparing garments and accessories for appointments and fittings
* Steaming and preparing garments where required
* Supporting the team with general boutique organisation
* Assisting with practical preparations for launches, events and busy periods
* Carrying out occasional errands, collections and drop-offs outside the boutique
* Helping with ad-hoc tasks across the business as required
As a small independent brand, no two days are exactly the same, so we're looking for someone adaptable who is genuinely happy to get involved.
Who We're Looking For
Previous fashion experience isn't essential. More importantly, we're looking for someone who is:
* Reliable and punctual
* Organised with excellent attention to detail
* Proactive and willing to take initiative
* Practical and happy to work hands-on
* Friendly and professional
* Careful when handling garments and accessories
* Comfortable working within a small team
* Interested in fashion, luxury retail and independent brands
* Keen to learn about the operational side of a fashion business
What You'll Gain
You'll have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of how an independent London fashion brand operates, including:
* Boutique and retail operations
* Stock management and organisation
* Order fulfilment and dispatch
* Luxury customer experience
* Garment preparation and presentation
* The wider day-to-day workings of a growing fashion brand
For the right person, there may also be an opportunity to progress into a paid position with Aimee Joyce London in the future.
