Job Title: Junior Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: West Midlands
Package
· Up to £33,000 (depending on experience)
· Annual performance bonus (based on attendance and paperwork, paid yearly)
· Jobs planned 2–3 weeks in advance so you can pre-plan
· 40-hour working week (on site)
· 1.5 hours travel time paid each day
· 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + your birthday off
· 15 days' sick pay after successful probation
· Option to travel by train (bonus available), although a full UK driving licence is still required
· 1 in 12 on-call rota (once fully trained)
o £75 standby payment
o 5-hour minimum call-out payment

The Role
Established for over 50 years, we are a leading provider of building services across the South East, delivering planned and reactive maintenance to a wide range of commercial clients.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Junior Air Conditioning Engineer to join our experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the HVAC industry. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, receiving ongoing training while gaining hands-on experience across a variety of commercial sites, predominantly office buildings.
Responsibilities
· Assist with the service and maintenance of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV and VRF equipment
· Support senior engineers with fault finding and repairs
· Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
· Learn to diagnose system faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently
· Complete job reports using the company PDA system
· Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of workmanship
· Participate in the on-call rota once fully trained
Requirements
· F-Gas Category 1 qualification (essential)
· Some practical experience within air conditioning, HVAC or refrigeration (work experience, apprenticeship or junior engineer role)
· Full UK driving licence
· Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills
· Good communication skills and a positive attitude
· Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
