Duties
- Draft, review, and finalize wills, trusts, and estate planning documents tailored to clients’ individual needs
- Manage the probate process from initial application through to estate settlement, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Provide expert advice on inheritance tax planning, estate administration, and related legal matters
- Negotiate with beneficiaries, executors, and third parties to resolve disputes or clarify estate matters efficiently
- Guide clients through complex legal procedures with clear communication and empathetic support
- Maintain meticulous case files and documentation throughout all stages of estate management
- Stay updated on relevant legislation changes affecting wills and probate law to ensure best practices are followed
Experience
- Qualified solicitor with a solid background in wills, trusts, and probate law
- Proven experience managing a diverse caseload of estate planning and probate cases
- Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through successful resolution of disputes or negotiations involving estates
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Familiarity with relevant legal software and case management tools is preferred
