Your Role
As a Qualified Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care while supporting the clinical team. As you develop within the role, you'll also have the opportunity to progress into Treatment Coordination, helping patients understand their treatment options and supporting them throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient chairside support to the dental team.
- Prepare, clean and maintain clinical areas to the highest standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with infection control, COSHH, PPE and Health & Safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain dental equipment in line with manufacturer guidance.
- Accurately complete patient clinical notes and records.
- Take, process and store dental radiographs.
- Prepare laboratory work and maintain accurate tracking records.
- Monitor stock levels and report when supplies need re-ordering.
- Liaise with reception to support patient flow and communication.
- Support reception duties when required.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to practice improvements.
- Participate in ongoing training, including CPR and medical emergency updates.
- Act in line with professional standards, practice policies and the GDC Standards.
- Travel between practice locations where required.
- As you progress, support patient consultations, treatment planning and communication as part of the Treatment Coordinator pathway.

- Qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration.
