Job Summary
At Autocare Centre Chepstow, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Car Cleaner, Workshop Assistant, and Handyperson to join our dynamic team.
This is a varied, hands-on role that is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping busy, takes pride in their work, and is happy to support the workshop team wherever needed
Responsibilities
- Cleaning vehicles inside and out after repairs have been completed.
- Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and organised.
- Sweeping and cleaning workshop floors.
- Emptying bins and maintaining a clean working environment.
- Assisting mechanics with day-to-day workshop tasks, including helping during MOTs, pumping brakes, and other general workshop duties.
- Carrying out general handyman and maintenance tasks around the premises as required.
- Support the workshop team with organizing tools, parts, and supplies for efficient workflow
Requirements
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record is essential
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and help wherever needed.
- Previous workshop or valeting experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am – 5:30pm
- 30-minute lunch break
- No weekends
Pay
- Ages 18–20: £10.85 per hour
- Ages 21 and over: £12.71 per hour
