We're looking for a Domestic Assistant (Mobile) to join our team, helping to maintain safe, clean and welcoming healthcare environments across a number of sites in York Monkgate Health Centre.

£12.92 per hour (£25,272 per annum, pro rata)

Monday to Friday, working split shifts between 6:00am to 9:00am and 4:00pm to 8:00pm

DBS check required. Full training will be provided.
Please note, this role requires flexibility to work a combination of early morning shifts (from 6:00am) and evening shifts (up to approximately 8:00pm).
A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, as regular travel between multiple sites is required. Access to a vehicle is desirable.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Domestic Assistant (Mobile), you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring healthcare environments meet NHS National Cleaning Standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across healthcare facilities
- Carrying out legionella flushing procedures and accurately recording activity
- Safely handling and disposing of waste
- Using and maintaining cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor machines and steam cleaners
- Ensuring compliance with COSHH requirements
- Reporting equipment faults through NHSPS systems
- Replenishing cleaning supplies and consumables
- Supporting a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues
What we're looking for
We welcome applications from people with experience in:
- Previous cleaning, domestic, housekeeping or facilities experience (although this isn't essential)
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Good attention to detail
- An awareness of health and safety and infection prevention standards, or a willingness to learn
- A commitment to delivering excellent service and supporting patient care

Where You'll Work
You'll support a number of sites across York, including: Monkgate Health Centre (YO31 7BP), Clifton, Haxby, Easingwold, Cornlands and Harwood sites, along with other nearby locations as required. There may also be opportunities to provide cover at other nearby locations when required.
