Wanted: All-Rounder for Flats & Smalls at Shambala Festival
This role has genuine potential to grow into a partnership — if it's a good fit, we'd consider working together to grow Flats & Smalls and apply for more festivals next year.
Flats & Smalls (part of Wood Fired Events) is looking for a reliable, hard-working all-rounder to join us at Shambala this summer.
We serve wraps and meze, all made from scratch — proper festival food, done properly.
Dates: Shambala runs 27th–30th August, with prep and planning in the week before — so please only apply if you're free for the full run-up as well as the festival itself.
What you'll be doing:
- Helping set up and break down the stall — logistics, kit, layout, the lot
- Food prep to our standards, from fresh produce
- Serving customers fast and friendly during peak service
- Opening and closing the stall solo when needed — this is a trust role, we need someone we can hand the keys to
- Keeping things running smoothly under festival pressure — queues, weather, tired legs, all of it
What we're looking for:
- Festival or event catering experience essential
- Genuinely trustworthy — you may be running the stall alone at times
- Calm under pressure, good on your feet for long hours
- A team player who can also just get on with it independently
- Comfortable with early starts, late finishes, and camping on-site for the duration
- Veggie food knowledge a bonus (Shambala is a fully vegetarian festival)
What you'll get:
- Pay: happy to discuss either a day rate or hourly rate, depending on what suits you
- Festival ticket, camping, and meals included
- A proper festival experience with a small, tight-knit team
- Room to grow: Shambala is our only festival right now, we used to do more, but this isn't just a one-off gig for the right person. If it's a good fit on both sides, we'd genuinely consider a partnership — working together beyond just this role to help grow Flats & Smalls and take it to more festivals next year. If that's something that appeals to you, say so in your application.
To apply: Email [email protected] with a bit about your festival experience and why you'd be a good fit.
Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
Work Location: In person
