Ballet Pointe Shoes - Trainee Socker

About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic individual to join our production team as a Pointe Shoe Socker. This is a hands-on, fast paced role where you’ll be fully trained in cleaning and socking Ballet Pointe Shoes to a high quality.
No previous experience is required — just a good work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Trim loose threads around the binding and insoles of pointe shoes.
- Scrape away excess paste from shoes and insoles.
- Cover gaps with the correct sock linings.
- Glue sock liners to complete the finished pointe shoe.
- Use small hand tools such as embroidery scissors, knives, and hammers.
- Follow instructions carefully and learn each stage of the socking process.
- Work with glue, brushes and tack knives.
- Report any visible faults to Checkers or Supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
- Meet daily production targets in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
(includes one 30-minute lunch break and two 10-minute breaks)
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
(includes one 10-minute break)
Total: 39 hours per week (permanent)
