We are seeking an experienced proactive, reliable and dependable Housekeeping Supervisor with proven supervisory experience in the cleaning sector to support the delivery of cleaning services for a high-profile client site. This role combines hands-on operational supervision with administrative responsibility who can manage teams, standards, and daily operations independently from day one.
Summary of Main Responsibilities and Activities
● Adapted quickly to rota changes, urgent requests, and shifting workloads.
● Worked across multiple tasks and supported colleagues when needed.
● Management and coordination of cleaning staff and periodic teams
● Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the service, with compliance to industry standards and in line with health & safety legislation and requirements
● Understanding and getting to know our clients, the building and its requirements
● Monitoring and achieving levels of cleaning in line with the company’s QA programme using the Google quality auditing system
● Plan priorities for each day
● Monitoring of equipment/uniform/stock levels
● All equipment is safety checked and audited weekly
● Carrying out first level HR duties and staff training requirements
● Make sure every new and existing employee is inducted and is following the Principle Cleaning site rules and regulations
● Ensure that all staff arrive on time for work, they are in uniform, have appropriate footwear and that their general appearance is of a satisfactory nature
● Arrange and organise Holidays and absence covers when needed
● Ensure that all store rooms are kept in a good clean state of order before shift and at the end of every shift
● Ensuring tasks and work orders are allocated and completed to the correct standard within the agreed timescale
● Make sure all equipment is safety checked and audited weekly
● Review COSHH books to make sure it is up to date and inform your manager if anything needs to be adjusted
● Prior to starting any work make sure all members of the cleaning team are trained and familiar with Principle Cleaning H&S procedure including RAMS
● Complete any accident/incident report and raise it immediately to the manager
● Report any faulty issues immediately to your line manager and facilities
● Complete TBT and team briefings with your team on a regular basis with different topics
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or management experience within retail or sales environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, or retail management is advantageous.
- Proficient in administrative tasks with good time management capabilities.
- Previous experience in supervising staff, managing inventories, and handling customer interactions is preferred.

Training and Development

Pay: £16.00 per hour
