Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Pharmacy based Vaccinator, where you will play a vital role in delivering life-saving immunizations and contributing to public health efforts. You will ideally have carried out similar work in either a Pharmacy, GP Surgery or Hospital based environment and we expect this requirement to be for the month of October 2026. Pay rate will be determinable by previous experience in the role.

Duties
- Administer vaccines accurately and safely according to established protocols and care plans
- Verify patient identities and review medical histories to ensure suitability for vaccination
- Communicate clearly with patients about the vaccination process, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care
- Maintain detailed records of vaccinations administered using IT systems, ensuring compliance with data protection standards
- Prepare vaccination supplies, manage stock levels, and ensure all equipment is sterile and ready for use
- Follow infection control procedures diligently to prevent contamination or adverse reactions
- Assist in organizing vaccination clinics, including setting up stations and managing patient flow for efficient service delivery
Skills Required
- Strong nursing or pharmacy based background
- Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide reassurance to patients
