ABOUT KINLEY:
Kinley is an evolving and fast-growing family company. We design and manufacture high-quality landscaping products for the public realm, landscape edging, street furniture, planters and surfacing. Kinley works with landscape architects and specifiers to put well-detailed, well-documented products into schemes across the UK. We're expanding our ranges and our specifier audience, and we're building the in-house marketing function to support that growth.
THE ROLE:
This is a technical role - You'll own the bridge between product development and the market, taking products once they're developed and producing or coordinating everything needed to specify, install and sell them successfully.
From datasheets and installation guides to BIM objects, certification packs and website content, you'll ensure every product has a complete, accurate and professional information package behind it.
You'll translate technical information, test results and engineering detail into clear, user-friendly documentation for landscape architects, contractors, distributors and internal teams. You'll also act as the go-to contact for technical product enquiries, helping customers and colleagues access accurate information quickly and confidently.
The role sits at the intersection of innovation, technical, commercial and marketing teams, ensuring every product is launched with the information, documentation and support needed for specification and sales success.
You would be working Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am-3pm, 38.5 hours per week.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take developed products and produce the complete ready-to-sell package, including datasheets, installation guides, maintenance guidance, technical drawings, BIM objects, NBS clauses, certification and compliance documentation.
- Lead the product readiness process for new product launches, ensuring all technical, commercial and marketing materials are complete before release.
- Translate technical specifications, engineering data and test results into clear, accurate and professionally presented product information.
- Coordinate technical drawings, BIM models, testing programmes, certification work and external suppliers, keeping projects on track and delivered to deadline.
- Maintain certification and compliance documentation, including test reports, declarations, EPDs and third-party approvals where applicable.
- Maintain accurate product information across all platforms, including websites, literature, specification systems and internal databases.
- Create and maintain installation, maintenance and technical guidance documentation to support customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Act as the go-to contact for technical product enquiries, supporting colleagues, distributors and customers with product information and documentation.
- Maintain a structured and organised product information library, ensuring documentation remains accurate, consistent and up to date.
- Support our expanding product ranges, including street furniture, planters and surfacing products, where specification-ready documentation is critical.
- Work closely with Innovation, Marketing, Operations and Business Development teams to ensure product information is accurate, consistent and commercially effective.
- Support the consolidation and standardisation of product documentation as product ranges and brands come together under Kinley.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong technical literacy, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, test data and certification documents.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing information.
- The ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise and user-friendly documentation.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills, comfortable managing multiple projects and contributors simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication skills and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curiosity about how products work and how customers specify, install and use them.
- An interest in manufacturing, product development, construction products or the built environment.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience within a manufacturing, construction products or specification-led business.
- Familiarity with CAD/DWG drawings, BIM objects or NBS specification systems.
- Exposure to landscape architecture, civil engineering, infrastructure or public realm projects.
- Experience managing technical documentation, product information or certification processes.
- Knowledge of product testing, compliance or environmental documentation such as EPDs.
