Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bakery café environment. We're looking for candidates with previous supervisory or management experience in a retail or hospitality background. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth service flow and high standards of customer satisfaction
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of baristas and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service
- Assist with food production tasks such as preparing and baking pastries and other food items
- Ensure all staff follow proper food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly and ensure a warm welcoming atmosphere
- Train new team members in food preparation, serving procedures and health & safety standards
- Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development initiatives
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a retail or hospitality environment
- Preferable background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen experience
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
- Previous experience in hospitality, or restaurant experience is desirable
- Familiarity with barista experience or coffee preparation is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff under pressure
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

Pay: Up to £14.00 per hour
