Poets House House Hotel, requires Casual Bartenders. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, reliable and professional at all times and will maintain the high standard of beverage service and ensure the comfort of guests in accordance with company policy. Cocktail making experience would be beneficial. Applicants must be available evenings and weekends.
Skills/Criteria
- Desire to deliver a high standard of customer service with a friendly and positive attitude in accordance with company policy
- Strong Communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- The ability to multitask coupled with excellent organisational skills
- Fully flexible with regards to shift work, including evenings and weekends
- Previous bar experience is desirable.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
- To consistently ensure guests receive a warm welcome to the hotel and are provided with a high standard of customer service in compliance with hotel policy
- Have full knowledge of our drinks menu to enable you to prepare and serve beverages in an efficient manner
- To carry out all daily duties as instructed by the Supervisor/ Duty Manager
- To be fully aware of all planned events and prepare the department accordingly
- Ensure that all bills are processed accurately and in compliance with the hotel’s cash handling policies
- To work within the team and communicate effectively with other team members and departments
- To maintain a high level of cleanliness, ensuring that all bar/ dining areas and hotel equipment are left impeccably clean
- To ensure care is taken when operating hotel equipment
- To maintain excellent time keeping and ensure prompt arrival for shift commencement
- Work within hotel Fire, Health and Safety guidelines to ensure the safety of staff and guests at all times
- Have an enthusiastic approach to work and take great pride in your appearance and personal hygiene
- Attend training events as and when required
