Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in catering, cooking, and food safety within a professional setting.
This is a part time position working 10:45am- 230pm, Monday- Friday. 51 weeks of the year.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food presentation in accordance with established standards
- Prepare all meals for the day
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Follow food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times
- Contribute to a positive team environment by working collaboratively with colleagues
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a similar food service environment is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with cooking, meal preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous
- Experience in kitchen operations or culinary roles will be considered a plus
- Knowledge of food hygiene standards and serving procedures is beneficial
- No formal experience is required; training will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
