About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated Event Management Trainee to join our team in Glasgow. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a graduate, career starter or individual who wants to develop practical experience in event management, customer engagement, event coordination and business operations.
Full training and ongoing coaching will be provided, so previous event management experience is not essential. You will learn how events are planned, coordinated and delivered while gaining practical experience in customer communication, scheduling, event administration and on-site support.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will develop the skills needed to support successful events and maintain a positive experience for customers and event participants. As your confidence and capabilities grow, you will have opportunities to take on greater responsibilities and progress towards Event Coordinator, Event Executive, Event Manager and leadership positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, organising and coordinating events from preparation through to completion.
- Support event schedules, activity plans, materials and logistical requirements.
- Assist with preparing event spaces and ensuring required resources are available.
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, suppliers and event partners.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service throughout event activities.
- Support event registration, enquiries and general event administration where required.
- Monitor event activities and help ensure schedules and procedures are followed.
- Assist with resolving routine event-related issues and communicate more complex matters to senior team members.
- Maintain accurate records relating to event schedules, customer information and operational activities.
- Participate in training and coaching to develop event management, communication, organisation and leadership skills.

Requirements
No previous professional event management experience is required for this trainee position. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate good communication skills, organisation, reliability and a genuine willingness to learn.
You should be comfortable interacting with customers and colleagues, following event procedures and managing practical tasks. Basic computer literacy and good attention to detail will also be useful.
The role is suitable for graduates, career starters and candidates with transferable experience from customer service, retail, hospitality, administration, sales, marketing, events or other people-focused environments.
Experience
Previous experience in relevant event management, customer-facing, administrative, retail, hospitality, sales, marketing, operations, or related roles is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
