Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Duct Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing ductwork systems primarily within air conditioning and ventilation projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical knowledge and construction experience in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and secure ductwork according to project specifications and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
- Conduct maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing duct systems as needed.
- Assist with the installation of air conditioning units and ventilation systems.
- Lead or supervise junior team members during installation projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot issues with ductwork or related equipment promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and HVAC technicians to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a clean work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or duct fitting roles, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to ductwork installation.
- Ability to operate basic equipment repair tools and perform maintenance tasks on HVAC systems.
- Experience working with air conditioning units and ventilation systems is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members effectively.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in executing project tasks accurately.
- Physical fitness to handle lifting, bending, and working at heights in various environments.
- Relevant construction experience combined with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards is essential.
Pay: £25,420.00-£53,825.08 per year
