Live-In Carer – Jersey
Two Weeks On / Two Weeks Off | Paid Return Flights from Glasgow
Are you an experienced carer based in Glasgow or the surrounding area? Would you enjoy a rewarding rotational role that gives you the opportunity to live and work in Jersey for two weeks at a time?
We are recruiting compassionate and dependable Live-In Carers to support people in their own homes in Jersey.
You will work on a structured two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation. Your return flights between Glasgow and Jersey will be arranged and paid for, allowing you to experience island life while maintaining regular time at home.
Pay and benefits
- £140 per day
- £1,960 for each 14-day placement
- Additional £9-per-day food allowance
- £126 food allowance for each 14-day placement

About the role
During each placement, you will live in the client’s home and provide safe, respectful and person-centred support. Duties may include:
- Supporting with personal care, dressing and continence needs
- Assisting with mobility and safe movement
- Ideally SVQ level 2 or 3
- Medication prompting or assistance in accordance with the care plan
- Preparing meals and supporting hydration
- Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
- Supporting appointments, activities and daily routines
- Completing accurate electronic care records
- Reporting changes in the client’s health or wellbeing
- Carrying out light household duties connected with the client’s care
- Communicating with family members and healthcare professionals when authorised
This is a live-in position, not a continuous 24-hour working shift. Active duties, sleep-in expectations and overnight support will be clearly defined in the client’s care plan and employment documentation.
About you
We are looking for applicants who:
- Have previous experience in home care, live-in care, supported living, care homes or healthcare
- Are compassionate, calm, reliable and able to work independently
- Can respect a client’s home, privacy, choices and personal routines
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Are comfortable using electronic care records
- Can commit to the full two-week placement
- Can travel reliably from Glasgow Airport
- Have the required right to work in Jersey
- Are willing to complete the necessary background checks, references and training
Experience supporting people living with dementia, frailty, physical disability, mobility difficulties or palliative-care needs would be particularly welcomed.
