Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Scaffold Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be safety-conscious, and possess or be willing to develop skills relevant to various construction trades. Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe assembly and dismantling of scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards
- Carry and position materials, tools, and equipment required for scaffold erection and maintenance
- Support tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, plumbers, and masons during their tasks by providing necessary scaffolding support
- Ensure work areas are kept tidy and free from hazards to promote a safe working environment
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during all phases of work
- Inspect scaffolding components regularly for damage or wear, reporting issues promptly for repair or replacement
Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction sites and safety procedures
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Familiarity with trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail for safety inspections and task execution
