Key Responsibilities
As a Electrical/Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for building and fitting our core products from the ground up. Your daily duties will include:
- Mechanical Assembly: Working accurately from mechanical drawings to assemble and fit products in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
- Quality & Precision: Measuring, marking out, and utilizing hand tools correctly and safely.
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to company Health and Safety procedures and policies, ensuring correct use of PPE at all times.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Communicating effectively with both shop floor teams and office personnel to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Site Working: You will be required to work along side our current site team when required, with notice. This will require the collection of kit and equipment from the factory and using the provided work van and fuel card to complete a variety of different site jobs. These jobs will usually be within one day of working, however stop overs may be required occasionally with paid hotels.
Required Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and possesses the following:
- Experience: Proven training or experience in a mechanical field preferred but not required. (Previous experience with Low Voltage Switchgear is highly preferred, but not essential).
- Technical Skills: Strong attention to detail, the ability to measure and mark out precisely, and proficiency with hand tools.
- Electrical Understanding: Good basic understanding of electrical systems, knowing the key principles of voltage and current is preferred
- Certifications & Logistics:
- A valid, clean UK driving licence.
- Ability to work away from home on-site as required (advance notice will always be given)
- A CSCS Card is highly preferred (or must be successfully obtained within the first 3 months of employment).
- Attributes: Highly motivated, a strong team player, and a keen willingness to learn and develop new skills.
· Tools: Basic hand tools provided at start, but you will need to supply your own tools. Preferred if you have your own tools from the start.
· Background Checks: Some of our clients require security clearance and as such you would be subject to a government vetting procedure and enhanced DBS check.
Standard Working Hours
Enjoy an excellent work-life balance with an early finish on Fridays!
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00 (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch & 15-minute paid morning break)
- Friday: 08:00 – 14:00 (with a 15-minute paid morning break)

· This role allows for progression into other areas of manufacturing within the workshop, as more skills are developed you can move into a more varied role allowing for increased pay opportunities.
· As part of your work you will have a fortnightly training review with your section lead.
