Job Summary
Join the kitchen team at Sofia Patisserie, a French patisserie, restaurant and event venue in the heart of Cheetham Hill. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone who works quickly, keeps a spotless section and takes pride in getting the details right.
You'll support our chefs through prep and service, keep the kitchen clean, organised and stocked, and play a direct part in the dining experience our guests come back for. Every contribution here is valued, and every role is a paid position.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation - chopping, slicing and assembling ingredients to recipe and standard
- Support chefs with cooking and assembly, maintaining quality and presentation
- Wash and maintain all kitchen equipment, crockery, utensils and workstations
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
- Receive deliveries, store supplies correctly and keep stock rotated and tracked
- Manage waste and keep all areas clean and organised
- Serve food courteously and promptly when required
- Collaborate with the team to keep service running smoothly through busy periods
- Assist with local deliveries and supply runs as needed
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy commercial kitchen
- Minimum - Must have Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2+
- Strong working knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Fast, efficient and composed under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail in prep, cleanliness and presentation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once during service
- Good communication skills and a genuine team-first attitude
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Speak Engligh Fluently
