Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan efficient routes to ensure prompt delivery of products to customers’ locations
- Load and unload parcel carefully, verifying shipment accuracy and condition upon receipt and delivery
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and address any delivery issues promptly
- Interact professionally with customers, providing friendly service and answering any questions about deliveries
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with delivery driver experience involving commercial driving
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory
- Experience operating flatbed trucks or similar large vehicles is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of driving safety protocols and traffic laws
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps efficiently in various environments
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliveries daily
- Physical stamina to load, unload, and carry packages as needed
