Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate maths Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help students succeed academically and personally. This role involves working closely with KS3-KS5 students, providing tailored support in their learning journey. The Tutor will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters educational growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one online or in-person tutoring sessions to students, focusing on their individual learning needs.
- Develop customised lesson plans and educational materials that align with the curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with students to assess their understanding and progress.
- Educate students in specialist subjects, to progress and/or deepen their understanding of key concepts and skills.
- Support children with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to achieve their goals.
- Regularly evaluate student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring and teaching.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
