Ledwood is proud to be delivering the Mechanical Equipment Erection Works within the turbine buildings at Hinkley Point C, one of the largest and most exciting infrastructure projects in the UK.
As part of Arabelle's work supplying the two conventional power islands, Ledwood will be responsible for the installation of 12,750 tonnes of mechanical equipment. The scope includes 38 individual equipment packages within each turbine building, ranging from small 2-tonne pumps through to a 2,440-tonne condenser.
The project also features the installation of the world-renowned Arabelle steam turbines, which will be the largest ever built, measuring longer than an Airbus A380 and capable of producing 1,770 MW of power each.
With works anticipated to continue through to approximately 2029, we are building a talent pool of skilled professionals who are interested in being considered for future opportunities as the project progresses.
