We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, suitably experienced Property/Facilities professional to manage our diverse property portfolio on an interim basis.
The role
- responsible for the strategic and operational management of a diverse property portfolio, comprising operational waste management facilities, commercial and industrial premises, tenanted properties, residential accommodation, and development projects
- professional co-ordination of all facilities and property management activities, including maintenance scheduling, utilities management, compliance and statutory responsibilities, and management of contractors, suppliers, tenants and stakeholders
- contribute to and support the planning, design and delivery of property improvement initiatives, refurbishment projects, new developments and capital investment
What you need
- project management qualification, or compensating work experience
- proven experience managing a varied property portfolio
- experience managing maintenance programmes, maintenance teams, contractors and service providers
- experience supporting refurbishment, construction or development projects
- good understanding of facilities management principles and best practice
- understanding of statutory compliance requirements
- ability to discuss and challenge technical recommendations from contractors and consultants
- understanding of landlord and tenant responsibilities
- effective project planning and coordination skills
- a qualification in facilities, property or building management would be advantageous, but not essential

The package
- Salary £42k to £50k per annum DOE
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Some out-of-hours availability may be required to respond to urgent situations

Please note, this interim vacancy is to cover a period of long-term absence, and is therefore initially offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, or until the substantive post-holder returns to work, whichever is sooner
