As a Housekeeper, you'll play an important part in creating a safe, clean and homely environment where our residents, their families, staff and visitors feel comfortable and cared for.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working as part of our Housekeeping team, you'll help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the Centre. Your role will include:
- Cleaning resident rooms, communal areas and other areas of the Centre to a high standard.
- Supporting laundry duties and maintaining a clean, comfortable and homely environment.
- Following cleaning schedules, infection control procedures and health and safety guidance.
- Treating residents, their personal space and belongings with dignity, respect and confidentiality.
- Maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment and reporting any faults or damage.
- Following safe handling procedures when using cleaning products and equipment.
- Supporting catering duties when required, with a strong focus on food hygiene.
- Working flexibly as part of the wider team to meet the needs of the Centre.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the difference that a clean, safe and welcoming environment can make.
You'll need to be:
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Respectful and considerate when working in residents' personal spaces.
- Comfortable working independently and using your initiative.
- Physically able to carry out housekeeping duties, including standing and bending for periods of time.
- Committed to high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control.
- Willing to undertake mandatory and role-specific training.
- Flexible and willing to support the wider housekeeping service when needed.
Previous housekeeping experience would be an advantage, but we're particularly interested in people who bring the right attitude, care and pride in what they do.
