Job Summary
We are seeking an individual to help run a busy household. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning the house, preparing the house when guests are coming to stay, laundry, look after dogs when necessary, do occasional driving duties and do occasional serving and washing up during entertaining. It will be a varied role, needing someone who is flexible, enthusiastic and uses their own initiative. It is a live in position with a separate one bedroom cottage as part of the agreed salary with a opportunity to get extra work locally.
Responsibilities
- Clean all areas of the house to a high standard
- Perform laundry duties including washing, ironing and organising linens and towels.
- Flexibility to look after dogs on occasional weekend and evenings.
- Occasional driving to airports or stations
- Occasional washing up and serving when entertaining
- Occasional help in the garden (no knowledge of gardening needed)
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a private house is a bonus
- References are essential
- A driving licence and your own car are essential as we live in a very rural location
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Organised with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Reliable with good communication skills, fluent written and spoken english
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends if required.
- DBS check and the right to work in the UK
- Must like dogs
