Carter Services Group provide electrical & mechanical contracting works acting as the Principal Contractor within the Education Sector. We are recruiting a general trade skilled worker acting as Site Supervisor based across multiple sites ensuring compliance with a proactive, hands-on approach to meet client expectations and project deadlines. Due to works being completed in a live school environment, the successful candidate will be required to work flexible shift patterns.
The General Trade Site Supervisor, reporting to the operations manager, shall provide oversight, monitoring, and reporting on all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installation projects whilst carrying out general trade activities required to ensure works progress on time exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as Site Supervisor to ensure health and safety compliance, being point of contact for reporting and investigation and appointed First Aider
- Attend coordination meeting onsite with Project Manager and coordinate programmed works in sensitive or occupied areas, proactively communicating with all parties
- Proactively promote Safe Site
- Inspect and arrange safe storage of materials and equipment within site containers – working collaboratively with subcontractors.
- Monitor contractor progress reporting to Project Managers
- Preparation of snagging reports
- General trade activities may include:
o Making good
o General minor works
o Minor carpentry works (eg. downstands for ceilings)
o Maintaining site tidiness
The role may also include other light duties as deemed acceptable by your project manager.

- 8 Hour shifts with 30 minute break comprised of day shifts during half-terms 08:00-16:30 or term time night shift approximately 15:30-00:00 depending on site access
