SR Drivers are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers on behalf of a well-established transport and logistics operation based in Ely, Cambridgeshire (CB7).
This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for regular Monday to Friday day work, straightforward trunking, and the flexibility of either ongoing assignments or ad hoc shifts to suit their availability.

Pay & Benefits
Choose how you receive your holiday entitlement:
- £16.00 per hour PAYE (holiday accrued separately)
OR
- £17.93 per hour PAYE (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)

The Role
Your duties will include:
- Class 1 trunking between depots and distribution centres
- General haulage work
- No multi-drop deliveries
- Completing daily vehicle safety inspections
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Completing transport paperwork and PODs accurately
- Reporting vehicle defects and operational issues
- Following Drivers' Hours, Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations
- Representing both SR Drivers and our client professionally at all times

- Monday to Friday
- Day shifts

Driver Requirements
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year's HGV Class 1 driving experience (essential due to insurance requirements)
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Professional, reliable and safety-focused attitude
- Good communication skills
- No major driving endorsements
