Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Responsible for all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Implement creative menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to uphold quality standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
- Culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead the kitchen team and collaborate across departments
Hours are: 7am-3pm, Saturdays
Candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. Employment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references.
