Job Overview
We are seeking a professional Class C 3 car transporter driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles using an 18t lorry, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of vehicle care. Duties
- Operate a Class C 3 car transporter lorry equipped with hydraulic operated decks to transport vehicles efficiently and securely.
- Load and unload vehicles with care, adhering to safety protocols and vehicle handling procedures.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while complying with road safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition.
- Follow all legal requirements related to commercial driving, including tachograph regulations and driver’s hours rules.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class C driving licence with appropriate endorsements for commercial vehicle operation.
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, ideally in vehicle transportation or delivery roles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in vehicle handling.
- Experience with delivery driving and route planning is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate transporters safely and efficiently, with attention to securing loads properly.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- A professional attitude with excellent time management skills and a focus on customer service standards.
Pay: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
Experience:
- LGV driving: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Category C Licence (preferred)
