Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bookbinder / Print Finisher to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the making and finishing of books, boxes and menues while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality print related products. The position involves good attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with various tools and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Bind books and the finishing of printed materials using specialised sewing and binding techniques
- Making boxes
- Finish printed products by trimming, folding, and assembling
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely to complete finishing tasks
- Making components or parts as required for specific projects
- Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in bookbinding, print finishing, or related manufacturing roles is preferred
- Familiarity with mechanical systems and the use of hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and book / box making equipment is highly desirable
- Experience in assembly work or related manual tasks will be considered an asset
We are looking for someone who has good attention to detail and can work well in small teams as well as on their own and is organised and efficient. Our work is short run and varied. Print Finishing experience essential, training will be given in the specialist areas listed below.
