Head Chef / Kitchen Leader – Busy Café
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to lead our fast-paced café kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives under pressure, takes pride in quality food, and can motivate a team to deliver consistently excellent service.
About the Role
As our Kitchen Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our evening shift, ensuring high standards in food quality, presentation, hygiene, and team performance. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive kitchen culture while keeping service smooth during busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting the kitchen team during busy services
- Maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Managing stock, ordering, and minimising waste
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Training and developing junior kitchen staff
- Working closely with management on menus and seasonal specials
- Keeping the kitchen organised, clean, and efficient
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a senior chef or kitchen leadership role
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and lead under pressure
- Passion for fresh, high-quality café food
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude

Thursday 16:00-21:00
Saturday 07:00-16:00
Rate of Pay £13.50-£14.50 ph Depending on Experience with room to grow.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £20,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
