Hours: 4-5 Night shifts (typically 10:30pm – 7:30am), including weekends
Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the hotel during overnight hours, providing exceptional guest service, maintaining security, and supporting housekeeping and front desk operations in line with the high standards of Links Country Park Hotel.
Key Responsibilities Guest Service
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to late-arriving guests.
- Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs as required.
- Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
Security & Safety
- Conduct regular security patrols of the hotel building and grounds.
- Ensure all entrances, exits, and public areas are secure.
- In the case of fire alarm start the evacuation procedure, contact relevant Operations Manager to assist
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or disturbances.
- Report any suspicious activity or maintenance issues.
Front Desk & Administrative Duties
- Handle telephone enquiries and reservations where required
Housekeeping & Maintenance Support
- Set up conference rooms or breakfast areas for morning service.
- Assist with light cleaning duties in public areas.
- Support early morning breakfast setup if required.
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks where appropriate.
Person SpecificationEssential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional manner.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic IT skills.
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
Desirable
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience.
- Experience in night audit procedures.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
