Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baby Room Leader to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead and manage the daily activities within the baby room, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times
- Supervise, support, and motivate a team of nursery staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Build strong relationships with children’s families through effective communication and regular updates on their child's progress
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and care plans
- Support staff training and professional development to enhance childcare quality and team skills
Qualifications
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare setting or nursery environment
- Extensive experience working directly with children, particularly infants or babies
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices in childcare
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
- Experience working in nursery or early years settings is essential
- Ability to drive is desirable to support flexible working arrangements or community engagement initiatives
