Care Assistant & Senior Care Assistant – Newly opened residential care home in Bridlington

We are looking for excellent human beings, capable, friendly carers to work in this new home, part of a wonderful family-run group of care homes. This is a modern, vibrant care home with great facilities, and a wonderful, supportive team.
We are recruiting for 1 x Care Assistant and 1 x Senior Care Assistant
Hourly rate is £13.39 p/h for Care Assistant and £14.42 for Senior
Shifts are 7:30am-7:30pm & 7.30pm - 7:30am (Seniors start 15 mins early to get a shift handover)
3 days week 1, 4 days week 2, including weekend on, weekend off.
The Home:
This is a purpose-built care home offering 59 modern, well-appointed bedrooms and designed to provide warm, attentive, person-centred care.
The Role and Requirements:
Qualifications are welcome but not essential. What we really need are capable and friendly people who can build a rapport with residents and maintain the high levels of care of this Residential Care Home.
Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and continence care).
- Assisting with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Supporting with meals, hydration, and nutrition.
- Assisting with medication (where trained and authorised).
- Promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health or wellbeing.
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
- Safeguarding individuals from abuse or neglect.
- Following infection prevention, health and safety, and PPE procedures.
- Providing emotional support and companionship.
- Communicating effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Supporting social activities and promoting overall wellbeing.
- Respecting confidentiality, equality, diversity, and person-centred care principles.
Senior role:
The above duties plus:
- Leading and supervising staff – Supporting, mentoring, and overseeing care assistants during shifts to ensure care is delivered safely and effectively.
- Administering medication – Giving medication safely in line with organisational policies and recording administration accurately (where trained and authorised).
- Developing and updating care plans – Monitoring residents' needs, recording changes, and contributing to person-centred care planning.
- Maintaining accurate records – Completing care notes, incident reports, medication records, and handover documentation.
