Duties
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including <PERSON> driver and commercial trucks, to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with maintenance standards
- Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation for accountability and reporting purposes
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting repairs needed
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to uphold safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver with a strong focus on safe driving practices
- Ability to handle physical tasks including heavy lifting and loading/unloading cargo regularly
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Prior experience in driving or logistics roles preferred but not mandatory; training provided for qualified candidates
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle reliability
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings as needed
