Fire Door Installer / Remedial Carpenter
Rate: £250 per day
Hours: 08:00–17:00 (8 hours paid)
Duration: Minimum 2 weeks, potentially up to 4 weeks
We are looking for experienced Fire Door Installers to carry out new fire door installations and remedial works at a high end residential project in Battersea, ensuring compliance with current fire safety standards, manufacturer requirements and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new fire door sets, frames and ironmongery.
- Carry out remedial works including gap adjustments, seals, hinges, locks, closers, door/frame repairs and compliance upgrades.
- Work from drawings, specifications, schedules and inspection reports.
- Identify and report defects and additional works required.
- Record completed works and photographic evidence using smartphones/tablets.
- Follow RAMS, site procedures and health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum Blue CSCS Card.
- At least 3 years' fire door installation and remediation experience.
- Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel/work away when required.
- Own suitable tools, including battery/110V tools, nail gun, track saw, router, multi-tool and general joinery tools.
- Confident using smartphones/tablets for job records and photographs.
- Professional attitude and good communication skills.
Desirable: Asbestos Awareness, First Aid, SSSTS/SMSTS, fire door surveying experience, FIRAS/BM TRADA experience and manufacturer training/accreditation.
Pay: £31.25 per hour
