Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead and manage a children’s residential home, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and development of the home, ensuring it operates in line with Ofsted regulations, relevant legislation, safeguarding requirements and the organisation’s policies and procedures.
You will provide strong leadership to your team, promote positive outcomes for children and young people, and create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the children’s residential home.
- Ensure the home remains compliant with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.
- Lead, motivate, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Ensure safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people are always prioritised.
- Maintain high standards of care and support, promoting positive outcomes and independence.
- Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, training and performance.
- Work closely with local authorities, social workers, families and other professionals.
- Ensure accurate records, care plans and risk assessments are maintained.
- Prepare for Ofsted inspections and ensure continuous improvement within the service.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working within children’s residential care.
- Experience in a leadership or management role.
- A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children’s legislation.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards the qualification where appropriate.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Enhanced DBS check and suitability to work with children and young people.

Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
