Duration: 24 Months
A Modern Apprentice Fenestration Installer removes existing windows and doors and replaces with new frames and finishing materials.
During the first 18 months of your apprenticeship will join an experienced installation team and receive daily tuition in all aspects of fenestration installation and site management. You will participate in accredited training from external providers, on site coaching and assessments with Sidey’s Joinery Manager and SVQ Assessor and attend the Training Academy
You will form a new Graduate team during the final 6 months of your apprenticeship, developing independent judgement, consolidating consistent installation standards and professional working practices under the continued guidance of the Training Academy. On successful completion, you will be employed as a Fenestration Installer.

✓ Joinery & Carpentry NPA or Construction Multiskills or Construction related work experience
✓ Polite and professional manner
✓ Good math and logical thinking skills
✓ High level of attention to detail
✓ Good personal organisation
✓ Good physical health
✓ Ability to be flexible around start and finish times each day
✓ Driving licence, or committed to learning prior to completion of apprenticeship
✓ Your 17th birthday this year, or in the past
What will you do ..?
Learn how to fit and finish various window and door products to a high standard
Work with an experienced installation team within occupied residential properties
Travel to commercial contract sites across Scotland
Spend most of your learning time on site, receiving daily practical tuition in all aspects of fenestration installation and site management
Participate in on site coaching and assessment with Joinery Manager

- 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday
- £8.00 per hour during first year – £16,224 annually
- Overtime paid at 1.5 hours
- Increase to Real Living Wage after 12 months – £27,276.60 annually
- 30 days annual leave
- Coaching and support to achieve SCQF Fenestration Installation L5
- Ongoing training and development, including PASMA, CSCS
