Job Description: Deli Assistant
Immediate start available with on the job training
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their deli orders and providing product recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces
- Receive and stock inventory, ensuring proper rotation of products
- Operate deli equipment such as ovens, and fryers
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent quality of food products
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a deli or food service setting is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Availability to work flexible hours, including holiday cover.
