We're looking for an experienced BDMA Restoration Technician to join our expanding restoration team, supporting residential and commercial insurance claims across the South East.
This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same. You'll attend properties affected by fire, flooding, escape of water and other insured incidents, carrying out specialist restoration work while ensuring customers receive a professional and supportive service throughout the process.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Surveying damaged properties and recording findings through reports, site notes and photographic evidence.
- Installing, checking and removing specialist drying equipment to support the restoration process.
- Removing damaged building materials, including flooring, plasterboard, timber and other affected fixtures, ready for reinstatement.
- Completing cleaning, sanitising and restoration work following fire, flood and water damage incidents.
- Communicating with homeowners, commercial clients and insurance representatives, providing clear updates and excellent customer care.
- Working alongside colleagues to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Maintaining accurate job records using basic computer systems and completing all required paperwork.
- Following health and safety procedures while working across a variety of domestic and commercial environments.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- A recognised BDMA qualification.
- Proven experience carrying out fire and/or flood restoration work.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Confidence using basic IT systems and completing job documentation.
- A practical approach with the ability to assess situations, solve problems and adapt to changing site conditions.
- A reliable, professional attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
