Job Overview
Consort are looking for an Experienced Sales Order Processor - Reporting to the Sales Order Processing Manager as part of the Customer Care Team. Previous order processing experience within a PVC door and window fabricator role is essential.
The role is to handle Customer orders, quotations and enquiries and cover customer care issues during absences. To provide a proactive service experience for our customers and support any other departmental functions as directed, all working within Company guidelines and SLA.
Duties will include accuracy of data input, processing orders and quotes, with our targeted SLA of 24hrs. As an experienced processor you should be able to understand Customer specifications and requirements quickly and efficiently and be used to liaising with all internal departments, to ensure Customers expectations are met.
Responsibilities
- Processing orders and checking to ensure accuracy of data input.
- Check all orders received to ensure that they provide the information required to enable processing to take place.
- Contact customers, where necessary, with any queries relating to orders/quotations.
- Prepare quotations and seek written confirmation to enable order conversion. (Orders mean Windows, Doors, Bi-fold, Patios, and Conservatory frames). Covering our PVC profile ranges.
- Ensure all customer orders are dated in line with requirements.
- Check that all the information required to facilitate planning & scheduling is to hand, e.g., quantities, the correct number of pages, production and due date required.
- Effectively schedule a controlled flow of orders for Purchasing, Planning & Production.
- Ensure all orders irrelevant to the due date are processed within 24 hrs.
- Gain full product range knowledge and understand all technical and business processes.
- Provide general administrative support appropriate to the role, including covering all departmental functions as directed by your line Manager.
- Answer and handle incoming calls to the sales order processing queue within 3 rings and provide overflow cover/assistance for the incoming customer service call queue.

Essential Experience
- Previously experienced in processing PVC window & door orders.
- Need to be self-motivated, courteous and have a good telephone manner.

- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Able to understand technical requirements and process effectively and accurately.
- Computer Literate.
- Customer service can do attitude.
- Experienced in all Microsoft Office packages.
- Must be willing to undertake any training requirements commensurate to the post.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous order processing experience within a PVC door and window fabricator is desired.
