Job Summary
This role involves driving, collecting and delivering goods alone or with another driver in our Charity van while ensuring the highest standards of service, safety and representation of the Charity at all times. This role will cover multiple areas, Brighouse, Skipton, Keighley, Halifax, Leeds and other areas for collections and deliveries.
When there are no collections or deliveries to be done, or we have sickness in one of the shops you will be working as a sales advisor on the till, this will be dependent on where we need you to be and what is happening.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in delivery driving, being a drivers mate and or collections from the public, sales training or retail experience, opening and closing a shop along with possibly cashing up. You will be front facing with customers, donors and supporters and must be able to represent the Charity and its values at all times.
This person will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations within our Charity shops and logistics framework.
This role does involve heavy lifting, dismantling items to move them and helping the store staff to position them for sale, so you do need to be physically fit as we have a lot of stairs in our shops too that you will be going up and down.
This is a NEW role for our Charity and we are looking for a flexible and motivated individual that will thrive with a role that will be constantly changing depending on what is needed day to day.
No two days will be the same and as we shape this role to make it work in the best way for the Retail shops and our customers, we will need a driver/sales assistant that is happy to swap and change between roles.
