We're looking for a Seed Quality Control Assistant to join our team during our busy seasonal period. This is a great opportunity to be part of our Research & Development team, supporting the quality testing of seed to help ensure it meets the high standards our customers expect. No previous laboratory experience is required, full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone who is keen to learn and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.
What you'll do:
- Assist with the testing of seed samples following established procedures.
- Take seed samples from incoming lorry deliveries ready for testing.
- Accurately record test results and enter information onto our computer systems.
- Help keep the Seed Laboratory organised, tidy and running smoothly during our busy season.
- Follow health and safety procedures and maintain high standards of accuracy and care in your work.
- Work closely with colleagues to support the day-to-day activities of the laboratory.
What you'll need:
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work carefully and accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A flexible approach and the ability to work well during busy periods.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using IT systems
Pay: £12.71 per hour
