Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements using accounting software such as Xero
- Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and documentation
- Assist in financial management tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and system usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial workflows and reporting accuracy
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial accounting within a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial management principles
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to mentor team members and foster a collaborative work environment
- Knowledge of financial services industry standards is a plus
- Effective communication skills to clearly present financial information and collaborate across departments
