About you
Are you a qualified finance leader who enjoys combining strong financial control with commercial insight? At Taiko, the largest business unit within the Wonderfield Group, we're looking for a Senior Finance Manager to play a key role in supporting our continued growth across the UK and Europe.
This is a high-impact position where you'll take ownership of the Taiko trial balance, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and provide the governance, controls and insights needed to support a fast-paced manufacturing business. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Procurement and Manufacturing, helping drive informed business decisions and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the Taiko trial balance and maintaining a strong financial control environment.
- Leading accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Overseeing management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions and financial reporting.
- Taking ownership of key areas including inventory, cost of sales, manufacturing variances, fixed assets, intercompany balances and cashflow forecasting.
- Acting as the main contact for external audits, JSOX activity and statutory reporting requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks while ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and Group policies.
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of Management Accountants and finance professionals.
- Driving process improvements, automation initiatives and reporting enhancements.
What we're looking for
- ACA qualified.
- At least 4 years' post-qualified experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
- Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with expertise in financial reporting, controls and statutory compliance.
- Experience leading audits, month-end processes and finance teams.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercially minded, analytical and passionate about continuous improvement.
