The Colonnade Restaurant is looking for friendly, reliable and confident Casual Waiting Staff to join our front-of-house team.
Located within the iconic Bristol Beacon, The Colonnade is a vibrant restaurant and bar serving modern small plates, drinks and pre-show dining in one of Bristol’s busiest cultural venues. We are looking for people who enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, take pride in great service, and can help create a welcoming experience for every guest.
This is an ideal role for someone looking for flexible hospitality work alongside study, another job or other commitments. Shifts will include evenings, weekends and occasional daytime work, depending on the venue’s event programme and restaurant bookings.
What you will be doing
- Welcoming guests and delivering warm, professional table service
- Taking food and drink orders accurately and confidently
- Serving dishes, drinks and clearing tables efficiently
- Providing knowledgeable recommendations on the menu, drinks and specials
- Supporting pre-show dining service and busy event periods
- Processing payments and handling guest queries professionally
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
- Working closely with the kitchen, bar and wider Bristol Beacon team to ensure smooth service
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, café or hospitality setting is preferred, but full training can be provided for the right person
- A positive, friendly and approachable attitude
- Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with guests
- The ability to stay calm, organised and professional during busy services
- A team-focused approach and willingness to support colleagues
- Good availability for evening and weekend shifts
- A genuine interest in food, drink and great customer service
